About: Khan Academy a Not-for-Profit offers practice exercises, instructional videos, and a personalized learning dashboard that empower learners to study at their own pace in and outside of the classroom. 
Khan Academy currently has 31 million registered students, one million registered teachers, 15 million site visits per month. They have seen an upsurge of 45% of users year-on-year in India.
Khan Academy has partnered with the iconic Tata Trusts to create specialized, freely available online content tailor for India.

  • Interacting with Government Players to implement Khan Academy content into Government School Curriculums.
  • Aiding in creating alliances for Khan Academy with Private Sector Institutions as well as promoting their education resources to the underserved communities.

MISSION

Enable Poor Rural / Urban Slum Children join the Professional Class of Tomorrow

IMPACT

One of the largest non-Government school education programs for poor children in India. Program Coverage – Elementary School, Middle School and High School Education. Operational in 9 districts across 4 states.

GOALS

To implement their strong curriculum into government schools and thereby enhance the learning outcomes for students as well as an improved curriculum embedded learning material.

PROBLEM

Lacking funding for their current UP Project, they require 1.75 Cr for this year to continue their current class system in UP

NEXT STEPS

  • Connecting capital to Gyanshala as a long-term solution so that they can continue to run their programs throughout the country
  • Creating alliances with Government and Private Sector schools to better the current curriculums
